Richard ENdacott MA (Teaching and Learning)

Richard is a former Head of Sixth Form and Head of Humanities and has been at the forefront of developing teaching and learning strategies across a wide array of subjects. Specialising in History and Politics, Richard has delivered success in Economics, Business Studies and Geography at both A-Level and GCSE, along with Key Stage 3 teaching of all these and RE.

Offering both 1:1, groups or online tutoring, Richard has over 17 years experience in curriculum development, assessment and exam preparation, delivering results in the top 10% of the country, with History students achieving over a grade above their targets.

A former Head of Sixth Form, Richard is well versed in the UCAS application process, from choosing the right course, to styling the perfect Personal Statement and preparation for the most rigorous of University interviews. Richard has successfully coached students into Oxbridge, Russell Group, US and European Universities.

The recent Coronavirus pandemic has provided an opportunity to develop a more rigorous approach to online learning, using programmes such as Seneca Learning, Schoology and Moodle, using platforms such as Zoom, Loom and MS Teams.

Married with two children James (10) and Bethan (8), Richard has a varied and active life outside school, in particular delivering the All Stars cricket programme to over 100 children and bringing his Politics teaching to life through the proposed creation of a local Town Council.

The full History curriculum from 13+ Common Entrance, KS3, GCSE to A-Level. Specialising in particular Tudor England, Empire, Nazi Germany, Russia and Modern Britain.

Government and Politics

A former examiner, involved with the development of the Edexcel curriculum in the new specification, a full understanding of the demands of the sources, UK and US politics, ideologies and comparative functions.

Business Studies and Economics

A comprehensive understanding of the GCSE components with some A-Level teaching to complement.


13+ Common Entrance, Key Stage 3 and GCSE standard, extensive knowledge and understanding of both Physical and Human Geography,
